Matt joined BresMed’s Health Economics Analysis team in 2020. He has 8 years’ health economics consulting experience, with a focus on health technology assessment (HTA) and economic modelling. He has also completed a 6-month on-site secondment with a major pharmaceutical company. During that time, he acted as a UK Market Access manager across UK HTA processes and submissions.
Matt has led and developed HTA submissions to numerous agencies, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, the Scottish Medicines Consortium, the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group, the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics, the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency and Norwegian Medicines Agency. He has extensive experience designing and developing a full range of economic models, ranging from simple decision tree and Markov models to complex patient-level simulation and dynamic transmission models.
Matt has managed numerous projects across a range of geographies, including several global product roll-outs spanning European HTA bodies, working with both global and local teams. He also has experience undertaking patient-level data analysis, including survival analysis (as well as application of crossover adjustment methodology) and quality of life analysis and has worked in a wide range of therapy areas including oncology, infectious diseases, metabolic disease and respiratory disease.
